Clay Schleitwiler founded Tampa Bay Inspections in 2011, and he has spent most of his career in construction. Before he became an inspector, Clay worked for Coreslab Structures, coordinating large construction projects all over the state of Florida. That hands-on experience gives him a deep understanding of how homes and buildings are put together — and where problems tend to hide. As one client in the engineering and construction field put it, Clay “knows a lot about all trades involved in a home.”
Clay is a Florida Licensed Home Inspector (#HI4562), a Certified Master Inspector®, and a Certified Commercial Property Inspector. He is also an InterNACHI Certified Mentor who helps train other inspectors, and a member of InterNACHI for more than 15 years. He follows the Florida Standards of Practice on every inspection, and his team has completed more than 7,000 inspections across the Tampa Bay area.
